Wyoming State Finals

We will kick off the WY State Finals with the Guns, Cans & Cattle Classic Jackpot on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at noon sharp. Entry Fee is $150.00 and limited to 40 Riders â€" 20 men and 20 women. We will run like we did last year and take the 1st 20 men and 20 women; a waiting list will be watched and as cancellations come, we will fill. Payback is 100% payback based on $100.00, the other $50.00 goes to cattle rental. Paying 5 places in each division and Saddles to the overalls. It is the combined time of 1 Stage Shooting, 1 Barrel Race and a 1 on 1 Cattle Sort. Must use the same horse for the event. A deposit of $50.00 must be paid by August 10th in order to secure your place, if deposit is not received, the next person in line will be allowed in. No deposit will be refunded after August 15th. Main match begins on Sunday, September 6 at 10:00 AM Shooting with a riders meeting at 9:45 AM, beginning Stages 1 & 2, Rifle and Shotgun following â€" 2 stages each with Wrangler Ground Shooting to follow. Final stages 3 & 4 will start on Monday, September 7th at 9:00 AM. Weather dependent on Monday, we may run 3 stages on Sunday. Awards will be approximately 30 minutes after the last shot is fired. Check-in will begin on Friday afternoon in the Office at the Concession stand. Entry’s close at 10:30 AM on Saturday for the GCCC Jackpot. Riders meeting at 11:50. Office will open back up on Sunday morning until 9:00 AM sharp. There are a few electric hookups, it will be first come first serve. There are plenty of Pens and Stalls, however, we ask that those who have 2+ horse use the pens as more than one horse can be put in them. Portable pens are allowed and there is lots of space for dry camping. Showers and Bathrooms are on the grounds. As we get more sponsor dollars, added money will increase. Buckles to Overalls, Reserve, Open Seniors and Limited Seniors, and Wrangler. Prizes to Rifle and Shotgun overall. More prizes and money will be added as we get closer to the event. Last year we paid out, including the value of all prizes and events $16,500.00 +. We will be shooting outdoors, it’s Wyoming so anything goes. Please be prepared to shoot in inclement weather; we will stop the match for a downpour and lightning ONLY. We reserve the right to make this a 3 Stage shoot dependent upon weather and number of contestants. No Time Only’s.
